MOUSE MASCOT GETS A NAME

Nearly 100 entries were received from young shoppers in The Ryemarket Shopping Centre in Stourbridge, West Midlands who were invited to take part in a competition to name its new mouse mascot. ryely

The name Ryely suggested by 10-year-old Cameron Randle, of Spinney Close, Wordsley, was judged the winner and he walked away with £50 worth of shopping vouchers presented by Ryely and Father Christmas, right.

The Ryemarket's centre manager Karl Taylor said he was delighted so many youngsters had entered the competition and said Ryely would be making many more appearances in the Centre in the coming weeks and throughout next year. He congratulated Cameron and hoped everyone would agree that it was a really appropriate name.
