Forty-five French students and their tutors visited The Podium Shopping Centre in Bath on an exchange visit and were fascinated to compare the centre’s marketing and accounting experitise with those in France. french

The teenage students, between 16 and 17 were able to put their English language to the test as they asked questions of The Podium’s centre operations manager Mike Kelsey and publicity and marketing consultant Pauline Bucknall of PR Plus Media who explained the centre’s operations and activities.

The students, from Lycee Marie de Champagne School spent a couple of hours in The Podium discussing topics for their projects and browsing the shops, buying gifts and taking in the English culture.

A few of the students went into the Waitrose store and young Suzanne Magalhaes’ eyes lit up when she spotted bottles of champagne and announced that her mother works at the factory on one of the brands on display.
