SEVEN UP FOR THE SHIRES

The Shires shopping centre in Trowbridge has again been voted Wiltshire’s best shopping centre by readers of the Wiltshire Times.

The annual competition, in which readers are asked to choose the Best of......  in a wide variety of categories, has been running for a number of years and The Shires has been presented with the accolade for the seventh year running.

Centre manager John Grinnell said he was delighted.

“I’ve only been at The Shires for a couple of months so credit for the award for 2009 is due to the previous centre manager, the staff and, of course, the tenants and we all thanks shoppers for their continued support.

“I am proud to be associated with such a popular centre and will be working hard to maintain, and if possible even strengthen, The Shires’ appeal to shoppers across a wide area.”
