CHRISSY TAKES ON NEW ROLE The Orchard Centre’s security officer Christina Andrews has been promoted to the role of operations manager which includes additional responsibilities for health and safety. Chrissy, right, who has worked at the Orchard Centre for five years, took up her new role on April 1 and will assist centre manager Steve Murray in the overall running of the shopping centre. She will continue her work in security and will also be responsible for the mall’s staff of four caretakers as well as health and safety issues. Chrissy, who is 41, lives in Didcot with her two teenage children Shaun & Emma and policeman husband Chris, who is a CID sergeant in the Metropolitan Police based at Scotland Yard. She previously lived in Drayton after moving from her home town of Torquay, Devon. Before joining the Orchard Centre’s six-strong security team Chrissy was in retail management with 15 years experience. “My new role will be busy and it is rather daunting but at the same time I’m really looking forward to the challenge and working alongside the centre manager,” she said. “Steve is also responsible for other shopping centre’s and retail parks which sometimes takes him away from the Orchard Centre and this is where my extra responsibilities will come into play.” |
