MALCOLM'S GUESS IS SPOT ON Malcolm Cornish of Crescent Road, Melksham was spot on with his guess of 89 for the number of footballs inside a Ford Ka car in a Reed of Trowbridge World Cup competitition. Malcolm, who was out shopping in The Shires when he decided to try his luck and he collected his prize of a portable DVD player in time to take in on a family holiday in Sidmouth. Two DVD players were up for grabs and the other lucky winner was nine-year-old Sophie Smith from Midsomer Norton, who also guessed the right number of balls. The Ka was decked out like the England flag to tempt shoppers to try their luck. Sophie said: “I didn’t work it out, I just guessed at 89 and it turned out to be right.” The prize has proved to be a timely boost for the Smith family who set out this week on a family holiday to Woolacombe so Sophie and her brother Liam could watch the DVD players in the back of the car. |
