NUTRITION MENU FOR ELDERLY
Candlelight, which operates across Somerset, Wiltshire, Bath & NE Somerset, Dorset and East Sussex, is now providing a cuisine service for special occasions such as birthdays or anniversaries, lunches or even coffee mornings or afternoon tea parties. With 21 years of homecare experience, Candlelight knows that people like to get together with friends and family over a meal, and appreciate this can often presents difficulties over preparations, cooking and washing up. Candlelight Cuisine has been set up to offer a stress-free service of nutritious, freshly cooked food for all occasions, large or small. The new venture was unveiled at a party for about 30 guests at Pilton Working Men’s Club on Friday by Cherry Catley-Day, who helped found the company and which is now one of the largest independent, family-owned homecare providers in the south of England. Mrs Catley-Day, who has taken up a new role offering free benefit advice to Candlelight clients, explained the services being offering by Candlelight Cuisine, which include preparing and cooking individual dishes of a client’s own choice, if necessary in their own home, including packaging ready for fridge or freezer. She said their full trained, professional staff would prepare dishes to the highest standard and would cook, serve and clear up. Nutrition co-ordinators Annie Gillespie, from Lovington, and Victoria Bellak, from Butleigh, prepared and pea soup, shepherd’s pie or fish pie and strawberry and raspberry pavolova made by Mrs Bellak’s 11-year old daughter Indie, pictured, at the Pilton event, which included entertainment by singer Vaughan Williams. Candlelight clients Rocco d’Ambrosio and Cyril Percy also took to the stage.
