NEW APPOINTMENT AT CARTER JONAS Property agent Carter Jonas has announced the appointment of David Mackenzie, right, as head of residential sales in Bath.
He joins the company’s Queen Square office in advance of the opening of the firm’s new Wood Street office, which is due to open in the spring. David, 33, who has returned to live in Bath after working in Gloucestershire for a short spell, has 12 years’ experience in the residential property industry, ten of which he spent selling prime Georgian townhouses and apartments in Bath, Bristol and the surrounding Somerset countryside. Most recently, he was based in Cirencester as an associate director at Savills, advising on the sale of Cotswold country houses. Following his appointment at Carter Jonas, David has moved to live in Bear Flat with his wife Alexandra and 18-month-old son Daniel. Alexandra was a pediatric nurse at Bath Royal United Hospital prior to becoming a mother. David is a keen sportsman and rugby fan, supporting both Bath and Toulouse because of family connections. He has also been a keen traveller and has lived in countries including the British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Oman, Yemen, Papua New Guinea, Rumania and Nigeria but has now firmly set his roots in Bath with his family. Speaking of his appointment, David said: “I have always had a great respect for Carter Jonas and I am keen to embrace the challenge of building the residential business in and around this world heritage city.
