SHOP IS JUST THE TICKET FOR BATH RUGBY

bathrugbyBath Rugby will be increasing its presence in the City centre and raising its profile even higher with the opening of a new shop and office on Pulteney Bridge in the spring.

The Premiership club, which this week announced that 21-year-old St Helens’ scrum-half Kyle Eastmond will join the Club in November at the end of the Super League season, hopes to have its new ticket office open at the end of May. It will replace the existing office behind the 6X Stand (West Stand) by the River Avon.

The Club’s managing director Jeremy Wilton said: “By taking this space at No 8 Pulteney Bridge, it will give our ticket office something it hasn’t had before, which is a shop front and street presence in a high footfall area of the city.

“Furthermore, it will create an environment that will be far more engaging for our customers to visit and passing trade to come in and find out what the Club has to offer.”

Finola Ingham, of the Bath office of commercial property agents Carter Jonas, said: “We are delighted to have helped the Club find the right premises in an area which is a popular attraction for tourists and Bath residents.”

Carter Jonas, one of the Club’s sponsors, said: “We have been working on the project together and are delighted it is nearing fruition.”

Bath Rugby already has a Club merchandise shop next door at 1 Argyle Street and Mr Wilton said the new premises would be dealing solely with ticket sales and customer/club information, although the window display would support the retail shop.

Two new full-time members of staff have been employed to work in the ticket office, although a definite opening date has yet to be decided as extensive IT installations are needed for the ticketing operation.

Mr Wilton said the office and customer information centre would help boost ticket sales throughout the summer months in advance of the new season.
