KIDS SAY NEW MINI MERLINS CLUB IS JUST MAGIC
Originally open to children up to nine the club has been so popular among parents and their off-spring that the age limit has been increased to 11. As part of their membership, which is free, each youngster receives a goody bag and a host of special offers from shops in Merlin’s Walk including an initial 10 per cent discount from Animal clothes shop. They will also receive emailed newsletters with quizzes, prizes, a birthday prize draw and an emailed picture of themselves with Santa in Merlin’s Walk at Christmas. The club was the idea of Merlin’s Walk operations manager Claire Kirkham who is delighted at the response in the first few weeks, despite the launch day being affected by the weather. “The weather was far too hot and I think everyone went to the beach,” said Claire. “But since then the response has been tremendous and at the last count we were approaching membership of 100. “From feedback from the parents and children we extended the age to 11 as they still want to be involved in the activities at that age, and even beyond.” Youngsters interested in joining the club can go to Merlin’s Walk website www.merlinswalk.com to download the form on the Kids’ Zone page and send it to Claire at Merlin’s Walk, Blue Street, Carmarthen SA31 3BN. |
