TOP TALENT FINALISTS CHOSEN

talent1Judges of Cheltenham's Top Talent competition in Beechwood Shopping Centre had a tough task in choosing the eight acts which will go on to the grand final  on December 18.

Singers, dancers and a poet impressed the judges in the auditions and enthusiastic crowds of supporters offered plenty of encouragement.

The judging panel consisted of Cheltenham Mayor Councillor Barbara Driver, Gloucestershire Echo editor Kevan Blackadder and Beechwood shopping centre manager Owen Acland who said: "The quality of the contestants made it difficult for us to decide a final eight. They all performed well and certainly all the shoppers, friends and supporters seemed to enjoy it."

The competition, which was open to under 25s, will help raise cash for the Mayor's chosen charities Cheltenham YMCA, National Star College and the St Vincent's and St George's Association. The bucket collection in aid of the three charities on the day was £564.85.

The finalists are: Mubonki Bulawayo, dancer; Oliver Carter, singer; Ayse Alice Demir, singer; Jade Dunkley and Emily Monahan, dancers; Jas Kent, dancer; Jamie Parekh, dancer; Emma Stone, singer; Eloise Willetts, singer.
