DEL LO0K-A-LIKE WILL BE TOP STAR

Top Del Boy look-a-like Maurice Canham will be the star of the show at Beechwood shopping centre, Cheltenham when he comperes and entertains shoppers for the town's talent final on December 18.

Maurice, right, doesn’t just look like the star of TV’s Only Fools and Horses,  he also sounds like him and he’s the same height and has the same walk. He’s the real deal and is sure to put a smile on people's faces with his unique brand of humour.

The talent show will see eight young finalists competing for the Top Talent trophy.

The final eight were chosen from auditions held in November and they are now making their final plans to take centre stage in front of the three judges.

The competition was open to under 25s and the finalists are: Mubonki Bulawayo, dancer; Oliver Carter, singer; Ayse Alice Demir, singer; Jade Dunkley and Emily Monahan, dancers; Jas Kent, dancer; Jamie Parekh, dancer; Emma Stone, singer; Eloise Willetts, singer.

The competition is raising funds for the Mayor of Cheltenham’s chosen charities Cheltenham YMCA, National Star College and the St Vincent’s and St George’s Association and the judges are the Mayor Cllr Barbara Driver, Beechwood centre manager Owen Acland and Gloucestershire Echo editor Kevan Blackadder.
