Bath’s Podium Shopping Centre is now a Wi-Fi hotspot.

Visitors can get free wireless internet connection anywhere in the shopping centre.

Students, businessmen and women or just causal surfers, can connect up while enjoying a coffee or two in Caffé Dolce, Café Piazza and Carwardine’s.

The Podium manager John Grinnell said: “I am pleased the three restaurants have come on board with us to provide this service.

“We believe it adds great value to the centre as a key destination in Bath and hopefully will encourage people to spend more time with us.”

Wi-Fi is wireless networking – the ability to connect to a network or PC using radio signals within a certain range as opposed to network cabling.

Using a Wi-Fi setup with your mobile phone, MP3 player, PDA or laptop means users can share a Broadband Internet connection, swap files, or share a printer or storage area between computer users.
