PR Plus Media was chosen to provide the only photographic cover for the visit of the Governor of the Bank of England Mervyn King when he addressed more than 100 businessmen and women from the south west at a private luncheon at Bowood Golf and Country Club near Chippenham.

Mr King, who was accompanied by Kevin Butler, the Bank of England’s agent for the South West,  was welcomed to the Bowood estate by Lord Lansdowne and Michael Williams, chief executive of the Wessex Association of Chambers of Commerce which jointly hosted the lunch with the Bank of England.

Mr Williams said he was delighted to welcome the Governor to Wiltshire to address businesses from across the region and felt privileged that he had been able to fit the lunch into his busy scheduled at a time when the economy and finance generally were at the forefront of everybody’s mind.

Mr King held a question and answer session at the end of his talk.
